Tippmann Silent Buffer. A replacement buffer for your Tippman .22lr that eliminates buffer noise.
Installation:
1. Remove the original buffer from buffer tube.
2. Insert MS-TAC silent buffer with buffer head facing forward. Our buffer is designed to be
inserted clear past the bolt hold open device. You may have to press the buffer down on
the hammer in order to align it with the buffer tube. Insert the buffer all the way
into the buffer tube.
3. Close the upper receiver back onto the lower receiver (you may have to nudge the buffer
head back to allow the bolt to seat properly).
4. Cycle the bolt to check functionality and enjoy some twang-free shooting.
The installed spring has been tested to work with a variety of subsonic and high velocity 22LR ammunition. A longer spring has also been included which promotes a more positive chambering force. This allows you to tune the buffer to your particular ammunition. If you wish to shorten the spring, we would suggest cutting 1 coil with a wire cutter or Dremel and then testing.
The spring can be accessed by unscrewing the Torx T20 bolt within the buffer head, taking care as the buffer head is under spring pressure. Do not cut the spring to less than 9 cm overall
length.
Whilst this will work in all Tippmann 22-M4 rifles, it is aimed at those who own a rifle with serial numbers below 75000 that have an especially loud buffer spring.

Purchased for my Tipmann M4 .22RF and delighted with this ! This buffer has totally eliminated the nasty Tipmann ‘Twang’ (which drove me crazy). I have tried this with a range of ammo and have had no cycling issues at all. Also works great with subsonic ammo and a moderator ! Super fast delivery and a simple installation. Highly recommended.
